How to show MyCloud Photos on TV

Hi,

Yes, I have read this:

How it works: Upload your photos and videos from your computer to myCloud. Then you can start viewing them on Swisscom TV with the myCloud app. You can find your uploaded files in the bar right at the bottom of the Swisscom TV home screen.

Yes, the photos are in my MyCloud account photo library.

After two hours of scrolling to the bottom of every screen I can find, I am not making any progress.

Help please!

Chris

BTW -- I can view my photos easily via Chromecast & via Apple TV, but that only shows my photos: the MyCloud photo library includes photos that are not on my devices, so I can't show them via CrC or ATV.

Can I download the photos from MyCloud?

Yes of course, but I don't need/want to do that ...I have the SSD used for the upload so I could simply use ATV ...but it is supposed to work direct from MyCloud to TV -- how?

@Tchris

The myCloud TV App is already installed on your Swisscom TV/blue TV box. You might need to go to "App Tips" where you'll find the myCloud TV App.

Are you able to find the app?

Hi @DomiP,

Thanks for asking.

How do I display photos stored in Swisscom MyCloud on my Swisscom-connected TV?

Oh, i got it.

Currently there are no Apps for Apple or Android TV.

I also would like to have the main Swisscom-Apps on non-swisscom Devices.

Apps on Swisscom TV are generally Built using HTML-Webtechnologies. Therefore it would be extremely easy to generate Wrapper-Apps for Apple and Android-Devices.

@JoelV (once again 😉) is there any way to access the HTML-Files used in your Apps? Therefore also 'normal' Developers can make the Services accessible for other devices. That would be easier than waiting for a build by swisscom.

Hi @DomiP,

Why Apple/Android?

Isn't it supposed to work:

MyCloud photos ----> InternetBox2 ----> TVBox-HD --(HTML)--> TV screen.

Chris

mmm: HDMI not HTML of course!!!

Hi @DomiP,

YES: I'm 100% Swisscom here (99% ...the WiFi on IB2 is off!).

My TV is a BeoVision-11 (not Apple for sure, but possibly Android based - God knows).

If it needs more than remote-control access to Swisscom TVBox-HD  plus HTML connection between Swisscom TVBox-HD and BeoVision-11 , then it is faster, simpler, easier, and infinitely better documented for me to dump the photos on NAS and DLNA to the BeoVision-11 ...but it is an added step in my process that I prefer to avoid.

The MyCloud app seems to have happily installed itself somewhere (on B&O, on TVBox-HD, on ????).

I really hate HATE HATE lack of documentation (and YouTube is NOT documentation)!

mmm again: HDMI not HTML of course!

Hi @cymett

If the process MUST start with me running the myCloud app on the TVBox-HD, the project is doomed!

TV-myCloud prompts me to start myCloud on my computer/phone and connect the two.

This cannot happen.

TVBox-HD is on my IoT network, computers/phones are on my Private network -- my very intrusive firewall  stops them talking to each other.

Solved: myCloud ----> TV screen cannot work for me.

...but it is a useful additional offsite backup copy of our photos.

Thanks, Chris
