I'm using the my sim in multi device and the I would like to open a port in one of my router to access it from the internet but operantly I don't have a IP public, I called the Swisscom tech support but they don't know what I'm talking about I found many questions about this topic in the community and all points out to a sub of 5.- CHF that solves this but the sale team have no idea about it.

Would you be able to point me to the right direction regarding this Topic.

You may have a public IP from the CGNAT range.
Usually an IP from the 100.9x.y.z range.
If so, you must request a CGNAT opt-out via MyService.

Hi @zaks-zum

As you probably already figured out, there is no clear indication if this option is still available.

A solution that always works: Reverse your idea and build a VPN from the router to an endpoint with a fixed IP/DDNS (i.E. a cheap VPS).

Also add a mechanism that opens the tunnel from the router, if it goes down for some reason (like scheduled ping, or gateway monitor)

I have been using this architecture for years now, works like a charm. 😉

Best,
